Wednesday Club Nights Feb ’20 | Lincoln Academy

Wednesday Club Nights

Wednesday Club Nights are consistently full of surprises and fun. We celebrated Kaniya’s birthday with cookie cake and a lot of games. Club nights are Wednesdays from 5:30-7 pm for our 8th graders and graduates in high school. We are so very thankful for our consistent volunteers and dinner providers.

Our students are very engaged in chess thanks to the Knight School for teaching them how to think critically and to strategize.

Alejuadra (one of our 8th graders) led our Wednesday Club night’s Bible lesson. She spoke on the courage of Esther and God’s faithfulness in the book even though he was not directly mentioned.

We also enjoy playing Clue on Club nights. Our students get involved in some intense competition.

Lincoln Village Ministry | Huntsville AL

Just a few miles from the most expensive houses in the inner city of Huntsville were men, women, and children surviving without the basic necessities. No running water or electricity. Plumbing didn’t work and floors were rotted from leaking pipes. Children had broken toys and went to bed hungry. A man with a heart for this inner city neighborhood stepped into the home of a little girl and her mother. That visit opened the man’s eyes and eventually a community’s eyes to the great need in their midst: the  need for Christ.

Lincoln Village Ministries is the product of one man’s call to action. The call has spread all over the city of Huntsville to pour out the hope and love of Jesus Christ into the Lincoln community.
