James Starks | Volunteer

Lincoln VIllage loves our volunteers! This month’s spotlight is on our Lincoln Launch mentors. Lincoln Launch is a program for our 7th and 8th-grade students to be paired with an adult mentor who will encourage them and pray for them as they “launch” to area high schools next year. The students meet with their mentors in a group setting for lunch, twice a month, at Lincoln Academy.
Mr. Starks is one of our faithful volunteers and serves as a mentor to our 8th-grade students, as well as volunteering in several other areas of the ministry. He and his wife, Audrey, moved here from Ohio last year and have been such a great blessing to LVM. We are so thankful for volunteers like the Starks, who share the gifts that God has given them with the students and staff at LVM! 1 Peter 4:10

Lincoln Village Ministry | Huntsville AL
Just a few miles from the most expensive houses in the inner city of Huntsville were men, women, and children surviving without the basic necessities. No running water or electricity. Plumbing didn’t work and floors were rotted from leaking pipes. Children had broken toys and went to bed hungry. A man with a heart for this inner city neighborhood stepped into the home of a little girl and her mother. That visit opened the man’s eyes and eventually a community’s eyes to the great need in their midst: the need for Christ.
Lincoln Village Ministries is the product of one man’s call to action. The call has spread all over the city of Huntsville to pour out the hope and love of Jesus Christ into the Lincoln community.
