Little Linc Preschool

The Month of March ’19

At Little Linc Preschool, we are preparing for Easter.  We are walking our preschoolers through Jesus’ final days before his death and resurrection.  The church calls this time Lent, and it is a chance to prepare our hearts to understand and receive Christ’s sacrifice for us.  Because our children are so young, our teachers look for creative ways to immerse them in the stories. One of the Bible stories we learn about in preparation for Easter is the Last Supper.  The teachers read this story to the children and also acted it out using wooden storytelling pieces. The children can go back to the storytelling pieces again and again to retell the story and gain a deeper understanding.  The children also responded to the story with art. With this story, the children tasted the unleavened bread and juice like Jesus would have shared with his disciples. As we continue down this road towards Jesus dying on the cross and raising to life again, will you pray with us that our Little Linc children will make a decision to follow Jesus?  In Revelation 3:20, it says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him…” Pray with us that our preschoolers will hear the voice of their Savior and respond!

Little Linc Preschool is looking for two morning preschool teachers for the coming school year!  We need teachers who are passionate about Jesus, eager to share their faith, and ready to invest in the lives of our students and parents.  Our primary goal is to share the transforming power of the gospel of Christ and to minister to our children and their families. We would prefer for our teachers to have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, but job experience can also be considered!  We’d love to start getting to know interested candidates, so please reach out to us! We would love to give you time to observe and volunteer in our classrooms over the next few weeks to discover if Little Linc would be a good fit for for you. You can contact Ashley Powell and Missy Faulkenberry if you are interested!

Lincoln Village Ministry | Huntsville AL

Just a few miles from the most expensive houses in the inner city of Huntsville were men, women, and children surviving without the basic necessities. No running water or electricity. Plumbing didn’t work and floors were rotted from leaking pipes. Children had broken toys and went to bed hungry. A man with a heart for this inner city neighborhood stepped into the home of a little girl and her mother. That visit opened the man’s eyes and eventually a community’s eyes to the great need in their midst: the  need for Christ.

Lincoln Village Ministries is the product of one man’s call to action. The call has spread all over the city of Huntsville to pour out the hope and love of Jesus Christ into the Lincoln community.
