New Staff Sept ’19

Welcome to Lincoln Village

Please help us welcome Little Linc teacher Olivia Butler Ngo to the Lincoln Village Ministry team! Olivia, born and raised in Huntsville, is married to Chris and they are expecting their first child. They worship at Rivertree Church and enjoy spending time with their dog, working out, going to the lake, and being outside. Fun fact – Olivia says she has dreamed about working at Lincoln since she was in high school. We love how God put this ministry on her heart at a young age and how He beautifully orchestrated her joining our staff. Her favorite Bible verse is John 3:30, “He must become greater, I must become less.” Thrilled to have you, Olivia!

Please extend a warm welcome to our new Little Linc Assistant Teacher Kathy Luttrell! Kathy, who is from Huntsville, is married to Terry and they have 4 children: Daniel, Anna, Holly, and Torri. They worship at Life’s Journey Church. In her spare time Kathy likes to sew, read, travel, and hike. A fun fact about her is that she has traveled to Jamaica, Haiti, Guatemala, and Uganda with her church on mission trips. Her favorite Bible verses are Psalm 91 and Psalm 37. She loves Psalm 37:25, “I was once young, but now I am old. Not once have I found a child of God forsaken by Him, nor have any of their children gone hungry.” Welcome, Kathy!

Zondra Harlan is another new staff member we want to introduce to you! Zondra actually began back in January of this year as our new Scholarship Coordinator, and recently also took on the role of Lincoln Academy Secretary. Zondra, who was born in Germany, says she is from “here, there, and everywhere” as she grew up in a military family. She is married to Jeremy and has two sons named Brice and Caden, and they worship at Willowbrook Baptist. In her spare time she likes to run, hike, and camp. Her favorite Bible verse is Galatians 6:2, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Welcome to the team, Zondra!

Please help us welcome new Neighborhood Coordinator Jessica Lawson Ahrens! Jess, originally from Baltimore, MD, is married to Clay and has two daughters named Megan and Ashley. They worship at Church of the Highlands. In her spare time she likes to read, play games, hike, travel, and participate in triathlons! A fun fact about her is that she has celebrated her birthday in 11 countries – wow! Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” So glad to have you as part of the team, Jess!

Lincoln Village Ministry | Huntsville AL

Just a few miles from the most expensive houses in the inner city of Huntsville were men, women, and children surviving without the basic necessities. No running water or electricity. Plumbing didn’t work and floors were rotted from leaking pipes. Children had broken toys and went to bed hungry. A man with a heart for this inner city neighborhood stepped into the home of a little girl and her mother. That visit opened the man’s eyes and eventually a community’s eyes to the great need in their midst: the  need for Christ.

Lincoln Village Ministries is the product of one man’s call to action. The call has spread all over the city of Huntsville to pour out the hope and love of Jesus Christ into the Lincoln community.
