Summer ’19 | Volunteer

Volunteer at Lincoln Village!

Booz Allen

On Saturday, June 22nd, we hosted a group from Booz Allen, a local company. Through thier volunteer work, much was accomplished between their donut breakfast and their barbecue lunch. Amazing the progress that can be made in a single Saturday morning.

Thanks again to the team from Booz Allen!

East Brainerd Church of Christ

Thank you East Brainerd Chuch of Christ for coming to spend time with us. We enjoyed serving alongside of you.

I3 Cares

Once again, the group from I3 Cares proved true to their name. Saturday, June 29th, was a hot & humid day but, this crew accomplished much in their day at Lincoln. Work was done in the school, in the current neighborhood, as well as in Lincoln North.

Thanks to all who participated!

Serve Day

Nearly 200 people from multiple churches and two local businesses sit and listen as Mark shares the Gospel, prior to spreading throughout Lincoln’s various areas and properties. Tasks and projects were going on on our school campus, in the housing area and in Lincoln North.

We love our volunteers! Thank you Church of the Highlands, Hope Church, Dynetics and Yulista!

Record Number of Volunteers!

This summer we had a record number of volunteers who came and served others for the Lord at Lincoln Village Ministry! It is amazing to see the number of people of all ages that show up to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our neighborhood. With our growing number of properties, God has blessed us with groups who are willing to come for a day or even a week and demo, clean, landscape, and paint, among many other tasks. We love to see the body of believers come together from different churches, businesses and organizations to work for the common goal of comforting our community and making property improvements, all to the glory of GOD!  (1 Corinthians 12:12).

If you would like to volunteer at Lincoln Village Ministry, contact our volunteer coordinator, Emily.

Thank you to Cove Church, Wells Fargo, The Brook Church, First Baptist Church, Augusta, GA, Oxford COC, Senatobia COC, Auburn COC, Army UpLift, Handsfree Work Camp, First Baptist Booneville MS, and Sherrod Avenue COC!

Lincoln Village Ministry | Huntsville AL

Just a few miles from the most expensive houses in the inner city of Huntsville were men, women, and children surviving without the basic necessities. No running water or electricity. Plumbing didn’t work and floors were rotted from leaking pipes. Children had broken toys and went to bed hungry. A man with a heart for this inner city neighborhood stepped into the home of a little girl and her mother. That visit opened the man’s eyes and eventually a community’s eyes to the great need in their midst: the  need for Christ.

Lincoln Village Ministries is the product of one man’s call to action. The call has spread all over the city of Huntsville to pour out the hope and love of Jesus Christ into the Lincoln community.
