The Month of March ’19
Lincoln Academy’s 7th and 8th graders learned so much during the SPEAK (Suicide. Prevention. Empowerment. Awareness. Knowledge.) program. It was sponsored by the Huntsville Hospital Foundation and brought to us by Leadership Huntsville. Taylor did an outstanding job teaching warning signs, resources and coping skills in a thoroughly engaging manner.
The first grade students always enjoy a trip to the “Let’s Pretend Hospital” at UAH. They enjoyed a hands-on experience about how a hospital works and how to stay healthy and safe!
We had 100% of our parents meet with teachers during the month of March! At the conferences, parents were updated on their child’s progress and they received third quarter report cards!
Lincoln Academy’s fifth grade students were invited to participate in an Arbor Day poster contest a couple of months ago. Here is a picture of our first, second and third place winners! We are proud of their outstanding work!
On March 28, the seventh and eighth grade students visited Lowe Mill to create a painting masterpiece . What a fun and creative field trip!

Lincoln Village Ministry | Huntsville AL
Just a few miles from the most expensive houses in the inner city of Huntsville were men, women, and children surviving without the basic necessities. No running water or electricity. Plumbing didn’t work and floors were rotted from leaking pipes. Children had broken toys and went to bed hungry. A man with a heart for this inner city neighborhood stepped into the home of a little girl and her mother. That visit opened the man’s eyes and eventually a community’s eyes to the great need in their midst: the need for Christ.
Lincoln Village Ministries is the product of one man’s call to action. The call has spread all over the city of Huntsville to pour out the hope and love of Jesus Christ into the Lincoln community.
