For the foreseeable future, EVERY SATURDAY MORNING is a scheduled volunteer workday in Lincoln Village. Since we began doing this in mid-January, we have had a wonderful turnout each & every weekend.
We have so much work going on, that we have plenty of work for all skill levels. SO – look at your calendar – set aside 3-4 hours – sign up on the website https://lincolnvillageministry.com/volunteer/ and come join in the fun. You aren’t required to sign up in advance, but it is very helpful for our planning purposes when you do.
Standard Work Days are normally 8:15 – 11:15. Some tasks are “weather permitting”. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact Dale () or (256) 509-3041.

Volunteer Highlights April ’21

We had a great turn-out on a recent Saturday with volunteers from First Baptist Church of Huntsville and Church of the Highlands coming out with about 20-25 people to help clean out the storage room in the school and with demolition. One of the current residents came out to greet volunteers and it was a beautiful day!

What better way to celebrate the resurrection of Christ than serving others for His glory? Easter weekend, 20 volunteers from all over Huntsville (COH small groups, Restoration Church and others) volunteered their time and efforts to pray over Lincoln North and clean demolition debris to prepare for the families that will live here.

A big thank you to Legacy School of Discipleship for volunteering with us for three days over their recent spring break. We love having groups on campus, and are incredibly thankful for their hard work!

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

Relay for Lincoln April ’21

The countdown is on for Relay for Lincoln! Here are the first 5 classes that are competing:

Team Kindergarten is made up of 10 students who love learning their letters, numbers, and colors from their teacher Mrs. Rogers. The class collectively decided their favorite color is blue and they could eat chocolate ice cream and pizza for lunch every day. If they could have one wish it would be for a hamster as a classroom pet. Good luck, Mrs. Rogers! These precious students love jumping rope during recess, working out with Coach Lyle during Fit Leadership, and learning more and more about Jesus.

Little Linc April ’21

Hallelujah! We serve a risen Savior! What a joy to share Christ’s victory over death with our preschoolers at Little Linc! During our Bible time at preschool, every Bible story has been leading up to the story of Easter. From God creating a perfect world to man’s sin and fall to the promise of a Savior to God calling the Israelites to be His people and preserving them over many generations to the coming of Jesus, laid in a manger, fulfilling all the prophecies about the coming to Messiah, every story brings us to the need for Jesus to die on the cross to pay the price for our sins. But He did not stay in the grave! Jesus defeated death and made a way for us to go to Heaven to be with Him forever. “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

Lincoln Academy April ’21

*We celebrated Read Across America during the first week of March. The students and teachers participated in a daily contest and tried to identify a quote from a famous children’s book. The teachers and staff surprised the students by dressing up as different characters each day. Everyone is participating in a reading challenge during the month as well!
